Since he was old enough to work out the pointy end of a rhythm stick, Daniel Zisin has been writing and performing music. Working with many of Melbourne’s finest, he’s written music for film, advertising, theatre, and even published a musical children’s book.
From rhyming in the primary school playground to founding the cult hip-hop act Still Thinking; Daniel has always used music to make sense the injustice he sees around him.
Using his piano and voice, Daniel writes music from the heart, music that is at once warm and familiar but bitingly fresh.
Lush and soulful, funky and lyrically deft, Daniel’s music is the culmination of hard-won lessons in music, life and love. Starting from a musical eclecticism formed from a lifetime of listening, learning, thinking, Daniel’s music is a rare thing; songs that are angry but hopeful, music for a better world.
